8 months old!!!

Sweet little baby Ava turned 8 months old on Feb. 27th. She really loves interacting with her 2 big sisters now. They are always making her smile and laugh. She really enjoys the number 2 foods that are mixed. She has been spitting it out quite a bit less now. She is trying her hardest to figure out how to crawl. She gets up on her hands and knees and sits there and rocks but then goes back to her belly and army crawls. I give it maybe another month at the most and I will have to purchase a baby gate. So crazy that she is mobile.

Such a big girl!!!

Welcome Home Elder Rory Murano.

So last Wed the 22nd we were able to go to the airport and finally bring Rory home. He had been serving a mission in the Philippines, Angeles Mission for the last 2 years.
My girls were super excited to hold up the sign for him but of course they both didn't remember who he was. There was only a few of us that showed up to greet him, but you could tell that he was super excited about those who could make it. My poor sister Becca got lost driving around the airport so she was able to welcome him home once we headed back to my moms house. He was released at my parents home with all of us there to witness it. They asked him to bare his testimony to the family and it was so sincere and beautiful. I teared up several times listening to him. The spirit was so strong. Since having kids I seem to tear up about everything. lol
The Sunday the 26th, was his homecoming. So many family members, extended family, and friends came to welcome him back. It was definitely a packed house barely any room to move but I really enjoyed seeing my family. I loved watching how excited Rory was to be home and visiting with those who he hasn't seen for 2 years. I love my brother Rory so much. He is so awesome and filled with so much happiness. I am so grateful that he was kept safe and was able to return home safely.

Waiting for Rory still.

Such a handsome brother so watch out ladies. :)

Bill look a little too excited to see Rory. lol

Happy Valentines Day!!

I really do enjoy all the holidays. Each one has something fun and exciting to do. So the Sunday before Valentines Day we had a fun family day and decorated cookies as you can see. The girls were way excited. Kaylin of course would spread some frosting on the cookie and then lick the butter knife. Over and over again. :) She was definitely a messy one, but fun is suppose to be making messes at this stage of life. We also ended up watching Tangled, one of the girls favorites. I love Disney movies also so I enjoyed it as well. It ended up being a great Sunday.

This is what happens when Kaylin gets a hold of the sprinkles when my back is turned.

Sprinkles everywhere!!! She used almost the whole container. lol

That cookie is just going to be extra sweet.

So now we are on Valentines Day. Lets just say Madi was rolling in candy. First she had dance and all the girls brought treats to hand out. Then she had Pre-school afterwards and all the kids handed out even more candy and of course I bought the girls a little something for Valentines Day also. I got them Hello Kitty heart boxes with some chocolates inside plus a coloring book with crayons. So more than enough treats floating around here now. Bill brought me home some roses that he ended up sharing with the girls also. He gave them each one flower from the bouquet. The girls were so excited to get a flower from daddy. Super cute and I didn't mind sharing. He also brought home some tasty raspberry filled powdered doughnuts. Not the healthiest breakfast but it only happens occasionally and they are delicious. :)

So Saturday we will be celebrating Valentines Day and I am super excited. It has been forever since Bill and I have been able to go out just the 2 of us. He picked the restaurant, Wingers, and I am in charge of picking the movie. I am thinking Reese Witherspoons new one. My awesome sister Becca is going to watch the girls so I hope for her sake they are good. Either way I am not going to let her get out of it. :)

I love this picture of Ava. :)

Grandpa Haslam / 7 months old

Well this last Sunday, Jan. 29th, I went to West Valley with my small family to go see my grandparents. Poor guy is just barely hanging on. He seemed so grateful that my family came to see him. Plus lucky for him I had brought my haircutting supplies cause he was in desperate need. We stayed only for a couple hours but my Grandpa and Grandma were so happy to have visitors and to see how big all 3 girls are getting. I love them so much and am glad that I went and saw my Grandpa since I have been told he doesn't have much time left. He is in his 80's now so he has definitely lived a great life. It is sad to know he will be leaving this life soon, but makes me grateful also to know I will see him again someday. I was happy to be able to get this one picture of him with all my girls so they may remember their Great Grandpa. Even though Kaylin was being a punk with the picture. lol This picture was also after I had cut his hair. :)

Little Ava has also reached the 7 month mark. She is growing so quickly and has the cutest little chunky cheeks ever. She rolls all over the place now and puts everything she finds into her mouth. It is really hard to keep up with her. She loves playing with her tongue always sticking it in and out of her mouth. She is a little lizard now. Her poor skin is drying up as you can probably notice by looking at the pictures. She is kind of red and splotchy at the moment. Hopefully I will be able to correct that issue soon. She is still a really picky eater. She has decided she likes apple sauce and carrots now too. So I can add a couple more items to her food list. She really loves playing with her sisters. Every time the other girls are down on the ground playing she wants down too. I really love watching them all play together it is so cute. Madi and Kaylin always try to involve Ava in their playtime if possible. I am so thankful for my girls. :)

My little Dancing Queen.

She calls her dance outfit her bumble bee costume. Makes sense since it is yellow and black.

She keeps telling me she is going to be a bee for Halloween this year. We shall see since Halloween is still pretty far off. :)

Madi is getting better with each dance performance. She makes me smile to watch her perform. She just needs to gain some more confidence and she will be amazing. She kept watching the girl next to her which you see in the video. Plus after the skipping part she got confuse because her dance partner wasn't there so she didn't know where to stand and was lost for a little bit. I still thought she did great though and I really enjoy watching her. Plus I think she looks super cute in her little dance outfits. She is my little diva for sure. :) I know this video isn't the best quality but I hope you enjoyed it.

6 months old.

So technically Ava was 6 months old on Dec. 27th but with the madness of Christmas going on I wasn't able to get her in to see the Dr until today, Jan. 4. Everything is going great with Ava. She now weighs 17 lbs and 4 oz and is 26 1/2 inches long. So now she is in the 75 percent for weight and height. So she is my cute little chunk. :) She is rolling quite a bit now but once she rolls on to her stomach she usually just keep making a circle in the same area. She smiles all the time and is still a tough one to get to laugh. It takes a lot of humiliation to get her to giggle but is worth it once you succeed. She still really doesn't care for baby food. The only one she likes is banana's and that is it. She does love her baby oatmeal food though. She is starting to really enjoy playing with her toys and interacting with her sisters. She is still a mama's girl. Always wants me to be around her. I enjoy that too though for now. :)

Merry Christmas / Happy New Years.

As you can see Santa did show. Even after all the many threats and phone calls of him not showing up when Kaylin and Madi were being naughty he magically still came. :) Those girls are just lucky. We had a great Christmas this year. The girls were spoiled as always thanks to the Grandma's. Lucky for me the girls didn't even get up until around 8 so it wasn't too early of a start. I thought it was funny that Madi and Kaylin when they woke up just stayed upstairs and played in their playroom. They didn't rush downstairs like most kids do to see if Santa really came. Bill was actually downstairs listening to them talk and play so finally after about 3o mins he finally went and told them Santa had come. lol

Plus later that day we went over to Bills dad's house and had a nice relaxing day eating and visiting. Plus they had a special visitor arrive later that evening to hand out one extra gift. :) It was Bills dad Rick dressed up as Santa but all the girls were really excited. Kaylin kept telling him that she was really good this year and went to bed right away so he would come and give her presents.

It is so sad to think another year has come and gone already. Time really does fly by way too quickly. My New Years Resolutions this year are pretty much the same as always. I would love to start eating healthier and getting my body back into shape. Also I want to become a full tithe payer once again. I really have no excuse for that one not being done already but I am working on it. Also I would just love to keep making some fun family memories of my own with my kids. I love them so much and want to be the best mom I can be. Hopefully this year we can make it to Disneyland. Madi talks about it all the time so we shall see how it goes. I hope everyone has a great new year and are ready for all the madness headed your way. :)
